CineMag CM-1254 自作 MC トランス用 XLRコネクタがサウンドハウスから到着しました。

オス、メス 2個ずつです。明日はタカチのケースが届く予定です。肝心の CineMag CM-1254 が届くのに時間がかかりますから、ゆっくりとパーツを揃えていきます。

CineMag CM-1254 MC トランスの情報を漁ってみたところ、Audiogon に少し情報がありました。

Into a standard 47k phono preamp, the effective input impedance of the low gain (1:16 ratio) is 184 ohms. At 1:30, the effective input impedance is 52 ohms.
Note: The 150 Ohm tap and the 37.5 ohm taps are specified by the manufacturer to provide 1:18 and 1:36.5, however 1:16 and 1:30 was measured using a 50 ohm audio signal generator at 1kHz with a 47k output resistance, which approximates the real situation of a moving coil cartridge load using this transformer into a standard RIAA preamplifier.
気になるのは私がメインで使用している ortofon のカートリッジとの相性です。電気的仕様では同等の CineMag 1131 を使用した Bob's Devices の CineMag 1131 (Blue) SUT With Switchable Gain の説明を見てみます。
Switchable for 1:20 (26 dB gain) or 1:40 (32 dB gain).
Into a standard 47k phono preamp, the effective input impedance of the low gain (1:20 ratio) is 118 ohms. At 1:40, the effective input impedance is 29 ohms.
The 1:40 ratio is perfect for those extremely low output cartridges including some by Audio Notes and Ortofon SPU.
Ortofon SPU と一口に言っても色々なバージョンがありますが、私の所有する Cadenza シリーズでも大丈夫なようですね。
